The Astrology National Center ( CNA - Central Nacional de Astrologia ) emerged as an answer to the request of the Brazilian astrological community for an institution capable of representing its ideals and interests in a fraternal, transparent and democratic way. Another demand was the creation of the National Counsel of Astrology (Conselho Nacional de Astrologia) that would validate and authenticate competent professional training and practices.

Through integration of efforts and extensive generation of resources we intend to offer professionals, researchers and astrology students throughout the country the opportunity to stimulate and support debates, research, training and the diffusion of our knowledge.

It is also part of its goals to straighten the relationship with the Spanish speaking astrological community in the Americas, stimulating the interchanges between professionals and researchers aiming the centralization of the organizations in South and Central America under one single institution.

The ANC was created in August 19th, 2005 at 4:42 pm on a full moon of the axis Leo and Aquarius during SINARJ’s ( Rio de Janeiro’s Astrologers Union ) pre-symposium in the auditorium “Flex Center” at Largo do Machado (Rio de Janeiro, R.J.). The sun in Leo and the full moon in Aquarius, sign that occupies the ascendant and Uranus in the cusp of the second house, fully reflects the massive support that the organization has been receiving since its beginning and its wide potential for promotion of Astrology.
